Get ready for big fun in our two giant sandpits, each filled with highly realistic radio-controlled diggers, dump trucks, loading trucks, and Land Rovers. Perfect for children and adults alike, this is the ultimate hands-on construction experience for anyone who loves RC vehicles, digging, and building!
Take control of your own remote control digger, dumper, or shovel and enjoy 30 minutes of non-stop action in our custom-built sand arenas. Whether you’re lifting, loading, or hauling, every move feels just like the real thing.

When you arrive, you’ll be allocated to a sandpit based on availability. If you’ve made a group booking, we’ll do our best to keep your group together in the same sandpit.

T&Cs
1. General Use
- The Digger Yard provides RC models, accessories, and hire for use in our sandpit area.
- By entering the shop or hiring RC models and equipment, you agree to follow our rules and respect other customers.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone acting in a disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful manner.
2. RC Model Hire

All RC models (cars, trucks, diggers, etc.) must be used only within the designated sandpit area.

Hire is subject to availability and is charged per session.

Users must follow staff instructions on safe and proper use of equipment.

Children under 12 must be supervised by a responsible adult.
3. Safety

RC models are not toys – please operate them responsibly to avoid damage or injury.

No rough play, deliberate crashes, or throwing sand at models or other guests. There is no public access into the sandpit; this area is strictly for staff use only.

Anyone misusing equipment may have their session ended without refund. These are scale models and must be respected — it’s not robot wars or bumper cars.
4. Liability

While every effort is made to ensure a safe environment, The Digger Yard accepts no responsibility for injuries, loss, or damage caused by misuse of equipment or failure to follow instructions.

Customers are liable for any deliberate or negligent damage to equipment.
5. Food & Drink

Only food and drink purchased at The Digger Yard may be consumed on the premises.

Please keep food and drink away from the sandpit area.
6. Bookings & Refunds
-
RC hire sessions can be pre-booked or purchased on the day (subject to availability).

Refunds are only given if The Digger Yard is unable to provide the booked service.

No refunds for no-shows or early finishes.

You may cancel your 30-minute session up to 1 day before your booking to receive a full refund. Cancellations on the day may be refused.
7. Photography & Media

We sometimes take photos or videos for marketing purposes. If you prefer not to be included, please let a member of staff know. If we are not notified, then you consent to potentially appearing in promotional photos or videos.
